History of creation
Bionet OJSC was established in 2009 to implement a program for the construction of biofuel plants (industrial pellets) from waste from timber processing.
Prerequisites creation of the company:
- Global climate change and the deterioration of the ecological atmosphere of the whole planet as a consequence of the global growth in electricity production, which led to an increase in carbon emissions into the atmosphere;
- Adoption of international legislation to encourage electricity producers in the form of government subsidies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions;
- Substantial growth in demand and prices for alternative types of traditional fuels;
- The presence of significant biomass reserves for the production of biofuels.
The construction of the plant for the the production of fuel pellets JSC Bionet began in the territory of the former Onega hydrolysis plant at the end of 2013.
The solemn ceremony of launching the plant into commercial operation took place on October 14, 2016. In parallel with the launch and launch of production facilities, active work was carried out to find buyers and determine the options for delivering products to European countries.
